- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1/2 cup simple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water or sparkling water
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves
- Ice cubes
- Lemon and orange slices for garnish
- In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely, then set aside to cool.
- In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, orange juice, and the cooled simple syrup. Stir well to combine.
- Pour in the cold water or sparkling water.
- Add the sliced strawberries, blueberries, and fresh mint leaves. For a more intense flavor, muddle a few mint leaves at the bottom of the pitcher before adding liquids.
- Add a generous handful of ice cubes to the pitcher to chill.
- Pour into glasses and garnish with lemon slices, orange slices, and a sprig of fresh mint.
Notes
- To prevent dilution, freeze some of the fruit into ice cubes to use in the pitcher.
- For an extra zing, replace a portion of the water with fruit-flavored soda.
- Adjust the simple syrup quantity based on the sweetness of your citrus fruits.
