Creamy Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Pasta Recipe

Tender, seared sirloin steak bites tossed in a rich, velvety garlic butter cream sauce and served with al dente pasta for a comforting and luxurious meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 ounces pasta (fettuccine or your choice)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. Season steak bites with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear steak bites in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove steak and set aside.
  3. Reduce skillet heat to medium and melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Sauté minced garlic and red pepper flakes for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Use reserved pasta water to thin the sauce if necessary.
  5. Return steak bites to the skillet and add the cooked pasta. Toss gently to coat everything in the sauce.
  6. Stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter for extra richness. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the pan when searing steak to ensure a good crust.
  • Reserve pasta water before draining; the starch helps the sauce cling to the noodles.
  • Sirloin is recommended, but ribeye or New York strip also work well for this recipe.
