Garlic Butter Salmon & Asparagus Sheet Pan Recipe

A quick, flavorful, and healthy one-pan meal featuring tender salmon fillets and crisp asparagus roasted in a savory lemon-garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the trimmed asparagus on one side of the sheet pan. Drizzle half of the garlic butter mixture over them and toss to coat; spread in a single layer.
  4. Place the salmon fillets on the other side of the sheet pan. Drizzle the remaining garlic butter mixture over the fillets. Sprinkle with extra salt and pepper if desired.
  5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and asparagus is tender-crisp. (Optional: broil for 2-3 minutes for extra char).
  6. Let rest for a few minutes, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Ensure asparagus spears are of similar thickness for even cooking.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute butter with olive oil or a plant-based butter alternative.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
