Jello Whip: How to make this light dessert.

A light, fluffy, and airy dessert made by folding flavored gelatin into homemade whipped cream. This refreshing treat is perfect for a quick snack or a colorful end to any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (3 oz) flavored gelatin (any flavor)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, pour the boiling water over the gelatin powder. Stir for about 2 minutes until completely dissolved.
  2. Add the cold water to the gelatin mixture, stir well, and let it cool to room temperature (do not let it set).
  3. In a separate bowl, combine heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
  4. Using an electric mixer, whip on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form (about 3 to 5 minutes).
  5. Gently fold the cooled gelatin mixture into the whipped cream using a spatula, being careful not to deflate the air.
  6. Spoon the mixture into serving bowls or a large dish.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until completely set.

Notes

  • Ensure the gelatin is cooled to room temperature before folding; if it is too hot, it will melt the whipped cream.
  • Do not overbeat the cream or it will turn into butter.
  • Garnish with fresh fruit or crushed graham crackers for extra texture.
  • For a lower-calorie version, sugar-free gelatin can be used.
