Lemon Butter Baked Shrimp: Easy 15-Minute Recipe.

A quick and flavorful seafood dish featuring succulent shrimp tossed in a zesty garlic-lemon butter sauce and baked to perfection in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss until thoroughly coated in the butter mixture.
  4. Transfer the shrimp to the baking dish, spreading them out in a single layer. Pour any remaining sauce over the top.
  5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the shrimp are pink and opaque. (Optional: Broil for the last 1-2 minutes for extra color).
  6. Remove from oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the shrimp as they can become rubbery; they are done as soon as they turn opaque.
  • For the best flavor, use fresh lemon juice rather than bottled.
  • Pairs perfectly with pasta, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the lemon butter sauce.
  • Ensure shrimp are patted dry before tossing in the sauce for better adhesion.
