Watermelon Smoothie: A Refreshing 5-Minute Recipe

A refreshing and creamy watermelon smoothie made with Greek yogurt, lime juice, and coconut water. This 5-minute recipe is perfect for staying hydrated and cool on hot summer days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed and chilled
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
  • 1/2 cup coconut water or regular water
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the watermelon by cutting it into cubes and chilling them in the refrigerator.
  2. Combine the chilled watermelon cubes, Greek yogurt, coconut water, honey (if using), and lime juice in a blender.
  3. Add ice cubes if a frostier texture is desired.
  4. Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides if necessary.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more honey or agave if needed.
  6. Pour into glasses, garnish with fresh mint, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use seedless watermelon to ensure a smooth texture without straining.
  • For a vegan version, swap Greek yogurt for coconut yogurt and use agave instead of honey.
  • Freezing the watermelon cubes beforehand can replace the need for ice cubes and prevent dilution.
