  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons

Method

  1. Puree the sliced peaches in a blender until the mixture is completely smooth.
  2. Pour the peach puree through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher to remove the pulp if a smoother texture is preferred.
  3. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice to the pitcher along with the granulated sugar.
  4. Pour the cold water into the pitcher and stir the mixture well until the sugar has dissolved completely.
  5. Taste the lemonade and add more sugar if a sweeter drink is desired.
  6. Refrigerate the pitcher for at least 1 hour to allow the lemonade to chill thoroughly.
  7. Serve the peach lemonade over ice cubes and garnish with optional lemon slices and fresh mint.

Notes

For the best results use peaches that are ripe but still firm to ensure the best flavor and texture.
Freshly squeezed lemon juice is highly recommended to achieve the best brightness and flavor in this recipe.
All ingredients including the water and peaches can be chilled beforehand to keep the drink cold without using too much ice.
Store any leftover lemonade in a sealed pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and stir before serving.
