Reese’s Peanut Butter Earthquake Cake

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a baking dish
  2. Prepare the chocolate cake batter according to package instructions
  3. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish
  4. In a bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth
  5. Add powdered sugar and peanut butter and mix until creamy
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture over the cake batter
  7. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top
  8. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the edges are set and the center remains slightly gooey
  9. Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving

Notes

Do not overbake to keep the signature gooey texture
Use room temperature cream cheese for smoother mixing
