- Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt
- In another bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy
- Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix well
- Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture
- In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth
- Fold chocolate chips into the cookie dough
- Scoop a portion of dough, flatten it slightly, and add a small amount of cream cheese filling in the center
- Cover with another small portion of dough and seal the edges
- Place cookies on the tray with space between each
- Bake for about 12 to 15 minutes until edges are lightly golden
Notes
Let cookies cool on a rack before serving
Use room temperature cream cheese for smoother filling
Do not overbake to keep the cookies soft
Chill the dough slightly if it becomes too sticky
Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness
