- Preheat the oven to 175°C and grease the baking pan
- Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl
- Add melted butter and mix well
- Stir in sugar eggs and vanilla extract until combined
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour baking soda and salt
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until smooth
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
- Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth
- Add powdered sugar and milk and mix until creamy
- Spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the cooled cake
- Slice and serve
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for maximum flavor
Do not overmix the batter to keep the cake tender
Chill the frosting slightly if it becomes too soft
Store leftovers in the refrigerator to keep frosting fresh
